How to Play Seance Sequence
The spirits speak through a ring of six runes on the seance board. Each round, they light up a sequence of runes one after another, each with its own tone. When they finish, it is your turn: touch the same runes in the same order.
Get the whole sequence right and the next round adds one more rune to the end. The pattern always starts the same way, so you only need to remember one new step each round, but the spirits also speak a little faster as the sequence grows.
Touch a wrong rune and one of your three candles goes out. The spirits then play the same sequence again so you can try once more. When the last candle goes out, the seance is over.
Every rune you repeat correctly is worth points, and finishing a long sequence is worth more. Your score at the end is the record of how long you kept the spirits talking.

- Number keys 1 to 6 touch the runes, using the small number shown beside each one. P or Escape pauses, M mutes.
Tips and Tricks
- Say the shapes or numbers quietly to yourself as they light up. Words stick better than pictures.
- Group the pattern into chunks of three or four. Remembering four short pieces is easier than one long one.
- Each rune has its own note. Many players find they remember the tune better than the order.
- There is no timer on your turn, so take a breath before you start repeating a long pattern.
About the Game
Seance Sequence is a calm, focused memory game in the spirit of classic electronic pattern toys, set on a candlelit spirit board. A short game lasts a minute, and a strong memory can keep it going for a long, tense chant.
Each of the six runes has its own shape, colour and tone, so it works with sound on or off. It plays well on a phone held upright. Your best score is kept in this browser and can go on the Top 10 board.

Does the pattern change completely each round?
No. It keeps every step from the round before and adds one new rune at the end.
What happens if I touch the wrong rune?
A candle goes out and the spirits replay the same pattern. You have three candles in total.
Is there a time limit on my turn?
No. Take as long as you need. Only the spirits' playback speeds up over time.
Can I play Seance Sequence with the sound off?
Yes. Every rune has its own shape and colour, and it glows when played, so the sound is helpful but not needed.
