Grave Sweeper
Play Grave Sweeper free online. Read the number clues, mark the hidden curses with wards and dig up every safe plot in this graveyard minesweeper with 3 sizes.
How to Play Grave Sweeper
Beneath this old graveyard lie hidden curses, and only you can map them. The ground is divided into a grid of covered plots. Dig one up, and if it is safe it shows a number: how many curses lie in the eight plots touching it. A plot with no curses around it opens up its neighbours automatically, clearing whole patches at once.
Use the numbers to work out where the curses must be, and mark those plots with a ward so you do not dig them by mistake. Dig every safe plot to win. Dig up a curse and the run ends, showing you where all the others were hiding. Your very first dig in each game is always safe.
Choose a graveyard size before you start. Small is 8 by 8 with 10 curses, Medium is 10 by 12 with 20, and Large is 12 by 16 with 36. Every safe plot you uncover scores points, and the bigger the graveyard the more each one is worth. Winning adds a large bonus, plus extra for every second you finish under the par time.
Controls
Touch
- Tap a plot to dig it. Press and hold a plot for a moment to place or remove a ward.
- Or press the Mode button to switch to Ward mode, so every tap places a ward instead.
Mouse
- Left-click digs and right-click places or lifts a ward.
- Click a number whose curses are already warded to dig all its other neighbours at once.
Keyboard
- Arrow keys move the highlight, Space digs and F places a ward.
- P or Escape pauses the clock, and M mutes the sound.
Tips and Tricks
- Start with the 1s. A 1 touching only one covered plot tells you exactly where its curse is.
- Look for the 1-2-1 pattern along an edge. The curses sit under the two 1s.
- Ward every curse you are sure of, then click its numbers to clear the rest of their neighbours quickly.
- When there is truly no clue left, guess near a corner or edge, where fewer curses can touch.
- Learn on Small, then move up. Large is worth far more points but needs patience.
About the Game
Grave Sweeper brings the classic minesweeper puzzle into the Reaper Man graveyard. It is a game of logic rather than speed: the clock counts up, but nothing chases you, and you can pause at any time. The numbers glow in different colours, the wards are bright red markers, and dug earth turns dark so the board stays clear even on a small phone.
The best run across all three sizes is saved locally, and the Top 10 board beside the game shows how other players have done. Fast, clean wins on the Large graveyard score the most.
