How to Play Tombstone Typist
Restless ghosts are drifting up from the graves toward the cemetery gate, and each one carries a word on a little plaque. Type a ghost's word and it goes back to rest. Type the first letter of any word to lock on to that ghost; the letters you type light up as you go.
No two ghosts on screen start with the same letter, so your first key press always picks exactly one ghost. A wrong letter does not cost a life, but it does break your combo. Backspace lets go of the ghost you are typing so you can switch to another one.
If a ghost reaches the gate, one of your three candles goes out. When all three are out, the gate has fallen and the game ends.
Words start short and get longer, and more ghosts rise at once the longer you last. Every word scores its letters, and a combo of clean words in a row multiplies the points, up to three times.

Keyboard
- Type the letters of a word. Backspace lets go of the current word. Escape or the Pause button pauses. M and P are normal letters in this game, so use the Sound and Pause buttons for those.
Touch
- Tap the game to bring up your phone or tablet keyboard, then type.
Mouse
- Click the game once so it listens to your keyboard.
Tips and Tricks
- Always go for the ghost closest to the gate first, even if its word is long.
- Accuracy matters more than speed. A mistake resets the combo multiplier.
- Glance at the next ghost while finishing the current word, so your first letter is ready.
- On a phone, turn off predictive text if it changes your letters.
