Raven Glide
Play Raven Glide free online. Hold to climb and release to dive as a raven races through a canyon of crooked rooftops, chimneys and bell towers, building speed.
How to Play Raven Glide
A raven is racing across the rooftops of an old town at night. Crooked roofs and chimneys rise from below, and an overhang of dark eaves and bell towers hangs from above. Between them is a winding gap, and the raven has to stay inside it.
Hold to climb. Let go to dive. That is the whole control. The trick is momentum: diving builds speed, and climbing spends it. Long, smooth swoops carry the raven faster and farther than short, nervous bounces.
Brick chimneys poke up from the floor of the canyon, and church bells hang down from the ceiling on long ropes. Both always leave a clear way past, but you have to line up for it early. Touching a roof, the overhang, a chimney or a bell ends the flight.
Your score is the distance you fly in metres. Silver feathers float in the gap; each one you catch is worth five more. The canyon slowly narrows and the base speed rises the farther you go.
Controls
Touch
- Press and hold anywhere on the game to climb. Lift your finger to dive.
Mouse
- Hold the mouse button to climb, release it to dive.
Keyboard
- Hold Space or the Up arrow to climb, release it to dive. P or Escape pauses, M mutes.
Tips and Tricks
- Short taps give gentle curves. Holding for a long time sends the raven up steeply, which is rarely what you want.
- Dive into the low parts of the canyon to build speed, then ease up as the gap rises.
- When a bell hangs ahead, start dropping early and pass under it in one smooth line.
- Feathers are nice, but not worth clipping a chimney for.
About the Game
Raven Glide is a one-button flyer about flow. It does not flap like Bat Gap; it swoops. The momentum system rewards smooth flying, and a good run feels like one long ribbon through the rooftops.
The town sleeps under a big moon, chimneys trail smoke and the bells sway as you pass. It is a wide game, so it is best on a computer or a phone turned sideways. Your farthest flight is saved in this browser and can go on the Top 10 board.
Raven Glide FAQ
Why does the raven speed up when it dives?
Diving turns height into speed, the way a real bird swoops. Climbing slowly spends that extra speed again.
Is there always room to fly past a chimney or bell?
Yes. Every chimney and bell leaves a gap wide enough for the raven. You just have to be in the right part of the canyon in time.
How is Raven Glide different from Bat Gap?
In Bat Gap every tap is a flap. In Raven Glide you hold and release to climb and dive, and your speed changes with how you fly.
What are the silver feathers worth?
Five points each, on top of one point per metre flown.
