How to Play Fog Weaver

Night has fallen over the swamp, and long walls of fog are drifting in from the north. You are a small wisp of light that must not be smothered. Each wall has an opening, and you steer the wisp through every one before the wall rolls over you.

The openings are not still. They breathe, slowly widening and narrowing, so the trick is to arrive while the gap is wide. Each opening is edged in red light so you can see exactly where the fog begins. Touch the fog anywhere and the wisp goes out.

Every wall you pass is a point. Red sparks drift between the walls; collect them for three more each. The wisp can move anywhere in the lower part of the swamp, so you can wait low for a gap to open or rise to meet it early.

The walls come faster and closer together the longer you last, and their gaps get narrower and breathe more deeply. Later on, some gaps slide sideways as they come, and some walls have two smaller gaps instead of one wide one.

Controls

Touch

  • Put a finger anywhere on the swamp and drag. The wisp moves with your finger but stays where it was, so your finger never hides it.

Mouse

  • Hold the button and drag to steer.

Keyboard

  • Arrow keys or W, A, S and D move the wisp. P or Escape pauses, M mutes.

Tips and Tricks

  • Stay near the bottom. It gives you the most time to read each wall before it arrives.
  • Watch how a gap breathes for a second, then time your move so you pass through it at its widest.
  • Small, calm movements beat big swipes. The wisp follows your finger closely, and overshooting is the most common crash.
  • When a wall has two gaps, pick the one that is opening, not the one that is closer.
  • Skip a spark if it sits next to the fog. Three points are not worth the run.

About the Game

Fog Weaver is a pure steering game. There is nothing to shoot or collect except a few sparks, just you, a tiny light, and a swamp that keeps trying to close in. The breathing gaps give it a slow, hypnotic rhythm that speeds up the longer you survive.

Dead trees lean in from both sides, and the fog walls are soft purple with glowing red edges. It is made for a phone held upright but works just as well with a mouse or keyboard. Your best run is saved in this browser and can go on the Top 10 board.

Fog Weaver FAQ

Why does the wisp not jump to my finger?

On purpose. It moves by the same amount your finger moves, wherever you touch, so your finger never covers it.

Can the gaps close completely?

No. Every gap always stays at least a little wider than the wisp. It may just be a tight squeeze.

What do the red sparks do?

Each one adds three points to your score.

Does Fog Weaver get harder forever?

It speeds up over the first seventy walls or so, then holds that pace. From then on it is a test of how long you can stay calm.

Is it free to play?

Yes. It runs in your browser for free, with no download or account.
