How to Play Crypt Golf

Crypt Golf is a round of mini golf played on 18 short holes laid out among the graves. Your ball is a small skull, and the cup is marked by a red flag. Each hole has a par, the number of strokes a good player needs. Get the skull in the cup in as few strokes as you can.

To putt, press anywhere and drag back, away from where you want the ball to go, like pulling a slingshot. A dotted arrow shows the direction, and the bar at the top shows the power. Let go to putt. The ball rolls, slows down on the grass and bounces off walls, so bank shots off the sides are part of the game.

The holes bring in new obstacles as you go. Stone walls block the way. Open graves swallow the ball, cost a stroke and put you back where you putted from. Purple ramps with arrows push the ball in the arrow's direction. Coffins slide back and forth, so time your putt to slip past them.

Every hole has a limit of 8 strokes. Under par scores the most points and a hole in one the most of all. After the 18th hole, the round ends and your total is final.

Controls

Touch

  • Press anywhere, drag back and let go to putt. The further you drag, the harder the putt.

Mouse

  • Click anywhere, drag back and release.

Keyboard

  • Left and Right aim, Up and Down set the power, Space putts. P or Escape pauses, M mutes.

Tips and Tricks

  • The aim starts pointed straight at the cup, which is not always the best line. Look for the route around the walls first.
  • A soft putt that stops near the cup is often better than a hard one that bounces away. Fast balls can skip over the hole.
  • On ramp holes, aim slightly against the arrows so the push curves the ball back onto your line.
  • Watch a sliding coffin go past once before you putt. Its speed never changes, so the timing is easy to learn.

About the Game

Crypt Golf packs a full 18-hole round into a few minutes. The first holes teach you the putt, and each later one adds a twist, from bank shots around a dividing wall to a final hole guarded by a coffin, two graves and a walled cup.

The course is a checkered graveyard lawn framed by grey stone, with wooden coffins and a waving red flag. It is tall, so it plays well on a phone held upright. Your best round score is kept in this browser and can go on the Top 10 board.

Crypt Golf FAQ

How many holes are in Crypt Golf?

Eighteen. The round ends after the last hole, and your score is the points from all of them.

What happens if the ball falls into an open grave?

You add one penalty stroke and the ball goes back to where you last putted from.

Is there a stroke limit?

Yes, 8 strokes per hole. If the ball is not in by then, you pick it up, score no points for that hole and move on.

How does scoring work in Crypt Golf?

A hole in one is worth 150. After that, the fewer strokes compared with par, the more points, from 120 down to 5 for many over par.
