Meaning & Analysis

Miss U is a breakup song about losing someone he still loves and knowing it was partly his own fault. He admits he was "a player" when he was younger and broke her heart, and now she's breaking his by moving on with another guy. The verse is full of what-ifs: if he'd taken it slower, if he could rewind time. The chorus is raw about how dark that loneliness gets, including suicidal thoughts. It shows heartbreak as something that can take a person somewhere dangerous, not just something sad.
